Welcome to the Beginners Meeting of The e-AA Group of Alcoholics Anonymous. My name's [name]. I'm an alcoholic living in [location]. Here with us are [names and locations of facilitators].

This meeting is designed to provide an introduction to A.A. Anyone interested may attend. The meeting may continue for up to seven days, depending on how many questions there are.

The format of the meeting is that topic messages (see below) will be sent to the meeting list. Each of them will include brief excerpts from A.A. literature. [names of facilitators] and myself may share our personal experience on the topic.

At any time, including right now, feel free to ask questions -- on anything related to A.A.

To "talk" during the meeting, simply address your email to aaintro@e-aa.org. Everyone in the meeting (on the mailing list) will receive it.

Note that when you send an email to the list, your email address will be available to everyone on the list. If, for any reason, you are uncomfortable with that, you may still participate anonymously. Send your questions or comments directly to me at [leader's email address] and I will remove your identifying information and forward them to the meeting list.

Any personal information shared here should remain confidential and should not be disclosed outside of this meeting.

The best way to find out about A.A. is to attend some meetings. It is perfectly acceptable to just sit and listen. You don't even have to tell anyone your name.
